1. nowhere“没有地方”；另外，nowhere near意为“远不是、远非”。如：
   What he did was nowhere near what you can imagine.

2. leave“离开”；另外,当用作使役动词，接形容词作宾补时，表示使某人或某物处于某种状态。  如：
   The terrible illness left him blind in both eyes later.
